IMPRESSE Objectives

IMPRESSE is a co-operation of Science Teachers Associations (STA’s) in particular member states of the European Union. Through IMPRESSE the STA's seek to co-operate internationally in innovating in their respective countries the national science programs and classroom practices.
The participants in IMPRESSE aim to establish a new image of Science Education in Secondary Education, among stakeholders in Science Education, e.g.:
. science teachers, science students and schoolmanagers,
. groups in the main public e.g. parents and decision makers at the national political institutions such as public servants  .

The IMPRESSE members seek to establish and maintain an international platform for discussion of teaching ideas and exchange of classroom experiences. The group supports for their members
. to meet regularly during international meetings. These meetings are conducted mostly during an annual conferences of one of the member STA's
. to conduct joint classroom projects concerning particular themes that were agreed upon during the international IMPRESSE meetings, in between the international IMPRESSE meetings.
